Cusco was our originating point for the Inca trial, and the name of the city means the navel of the world.

The Inca Trial we chose was about 6km, and we climbed about 650 meters to 2700m. above sea level on narrow Inca paths to reach our goal, the lost Inca city Machupicchu.

160 kilometers on bad roads, just getting higher and higher, we were destined for Chivay and the Colca Canyons.

After 620 kiklometers with desert and almost nothing to see, we were pleased to finally arrive in the beautiful town Araquipa 2325m above sea level.

After we had installed ourselves at the hotel, we decided to take the overflight over the Nazca lines, and bought the tickets.

We were picket up by our private driver outside our Hotel at 09.30. The plan was to go all the way to Nazca, which is a total drive of about 450Km.

Before we headed towards the centre of Lima, we had an interesting meeting with a travel agent recommended by the tourist information at the airport.

After an exhausting journey we finally arrived in Lima Peru, and managed to check into a hotel. We were excited to see wether we would manage to meet Odd at the predestined location.

Elleven hours on a plane is certainly not fun, but it gives you time to think a little about the insane scenario outside the window. What a world this is, what a planet. I know that Tellus is small compared to a lot of other planets, but still - what dimensions.

The travel so far has been without complications, but still a little bit tiresome. I'm now in Madrid, where I will have to spend the night before the plane departs directly to Lima Peru tomorrow. The picture is taken at the Madrid Airport, while I'm wating for the transport to the hotell.
