After the awesome Chichén Itzá we drove north to Progreso to be more close to the next Maya sites.

We left Playa del Carmen by car and headed for some of the most famous ruins after the Maya empire. The first one on the list was Chichén Itzá.

After we landed on the airport in Cancůn, we rented a car and took of for Playa del Carmen 78km from Cancůn. This was to be our basecamp.
